Retirement St. Augustine
I made a gradual transition from Dalton, Georgia to St. Augustine, Florida. I took my time moving what I needed in my new house. I put everything where it needed to go. It’s not a quick process, retiring. It takes a good year to get there. There is lots of paperwork to do and things to change. But after about a year, I had it all done. I even cancelled my old phone number and got a new local number.
I’m still doing the payroll and payables and receivables at the golf club. To be honest, I like having something to do. It keeps my brain focused. I’m having a good time being retired and I know just how lucky I am to have reached this time in my life.
I no longer wear a watch, I forget what day of the week it is. I’m just relaxing with Blue and Jingles. Now that all of my ducks are in a row, I’m just waiting for Thanya to get her K1 visa so I can have her here, with me. I cannot wait to travel around the USA with her. There is so much to see in this beautiful country. I hope I get to live many more healthy years and get to see it all.
I am so lucky to be where I am, today.
