Prostate Cancer

On July 3rd, 2018, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I had a Gleason score of 4+4. I made a spreadsheet so you can see the dates of my procedures. I chose to have Brachytherapy and radiation treatments.

There was so much going on in my life during this time. The hardest thing about this whole episode was the fact that I didn’t have a partner I could talk to. I had to make all of the decisions on my own. It was a tough time for me. But, I also knew, if I had to get cancer this is the one to get because it is treatable, as my doctors told me.

Well, I’m still alive and so far, so good! I did it and am I glad I did. If I make it to 60, I would say I made the right decision in choosing my treatment option. If I don’t, I probably made a mistake.
