Glenda

I met Glenda at my local gym in Tucson, AZ, in 1995. She would walk in and concentrate on nothing but working out. She didn’t look in the mirror and hardly said a word. I was intrigued by her demeanor. So, one day, I decided I would go over and say something to her…I said, “Do you know anywhere around here where I can get a beer?” Lol! She replied “No, I don’t. I don’t drink.” That was a crash and burn. Lol! I thought I’d give it one more go and asked her if she would like to go for a sunset horseback ride in the desert? And, to my surprise, she accepted.

A few weeks later, I had to go back to England. I returned to Tucson, 7 weeks later, on a 6 month visiting visa. Near to the end of the 6 month visa, my attorney told me that if I returned to England I would not be allowed back in the USA for a year. Glenda said “What if we got married?”And that’s what we did we got married in Hawaii on the beach, on the garden isle Kauai.

Neither one of us had been married before. It was different, lol. We had some great times and a few testy times. The best thing that happened to the both of us was the birth of our son Ryan, on July 27th, 2000. By the end of that year we moved to Georgia. I wanted Ryan to grow up with family.

Sadly, our marriage did not last. Fortunately, Ryan has turned out to be a great young man. He loves his mother very much and I am so glad he does. I also love my son’s mother. She has been a wonderful mother to my son. I thank you Glenda, for all that you have done.
